The summit of Braeriach, as only the truly bonkers will ever see it:
The drop over the edge is 1,000', or more, depending on whether you bounce left or right as you go!
Having descended out of the cloud, Strath Spey shows in all its majesty. Only four hours to go...
And my favourite photo from August (a patched-together screen-bending panorama). This is Loch Avon:

Great pics, especially the panorama.
Safe descent with feet firmly on the ground. Trust you've ample supply of kendal cake m'dear? TFx
Gorgeous.
Wow, nice photos but that foggy one is a bit scary. Nice to see a post from you. I thought you'd given up on blogging. xo
Impressive pictures.
All that clean, fresh air must be so exhiliarating.
That makes me feel a bit homesick!! *sigh*
(we're going up in a couple of weeks to celebrate Chris's birthday with everyone so will get my mountain fix then :-D)

Tim - Thanks! Carrying the camera is a pain, but always worth it!
TF - Chocolate-covered, of course!
Queenie - Thanks, hon.
DJ - Certainly a bit scary, which is why I turned back. Better to be a live wimp than cocky-but-dead-at-the-bottom!
Debs - Thank you!
Carol - Oh, and then I will be jealous! Please take and post photos... okay?
Amazing views! I cant wait to visit Scotland at the end of the year.
So...did you leave the car door open this time?
Lily - Ooh, how exciting! where are you going?
Tam - Ha ha ha! Yes, actually, I did; but this time spotted that the car wouldn't lock!!! This was just as well, as it wasn't my car!!!
Believe it or not, I've only done Cairngorm out of those Munros. Braeriach is mightily big. I must go up there one day. Still, I did manage to get around the Aviemore half-marathon in just over two hours.
Its fortunate that the car park is so well signposted. You couldn't miss that even from the top of the mountain! Great photos!
